TerraSana has acquired organic confectionery brand Candy Tree and now fully owns the company. TerraSana wants to strengthen and further support the unique value of Candy Tree – a brand that evokes nostalgic memories for many. This will preserve this iconic brand, which has been loved by young and old alike for more than 40 years.
The people behind Candy Tree will continue their passion. With the takeover, TerraSana secures both the future of the brand and its employees.
For customers, everything will remain as it is until 1 January, after which orders will go through TerraSana. Boudewijn van der Kroft, managing director of TerraSana: “From January, we want to strengthen Candy Tree step by step and ensure that the brand continues to meet the needs of consumers. This way the shelves will continue to be filled with the familiar candy that has been enjoyed in the organic food channel for over 40 years, while we offer Candy Tree a stable and sustainable future. Liquorice is an important category in our total range which we export to many countries and customers and are keen to develop further. With this acquisition, we can make this a more solid pillar in our assortment.”
