The Gezonde Innovatie Awards celebrate companies that contribute to a healthier food supply and a healthier society. Not only through innovative products, but especially by making a positive long-term impact and making healthy food more accessible to more people.
And that’s exactly what we’ve been working towards at TerraSana since 1989. Our entire range is organic and 99.9% plant-based. It’s a conscious choice for a way of eating that considers both people and nature. Because healthy soil, rich in soil life and biodiversity, forms the foundation of our food system.
We’re also strict about what goes into our products. Short, easy-to-understand ingredient lists wherever possible, without unnecessary additives. We consciously choose pure ingredients and carefully consider what does and doesn’t belong in our products. If it says TerraSana on the pack, we want you to be able to trust that every ingredient has been thought through.
Recently, we’ve also become more visible in showing what we stand for as an organic brand. Through new products, campaigns and a clear story about who we are. Because the more people we can inspire to eat organic and plant-based, the bigger the impact we can make together.
What made this edition extra special? First place went to De Smaakspecialist, a company that, just like TerraSana, is committed to organic food.
With brands such as Smaakt and BioToday, De Smaakspecialist brings organic products to mainstream supermarkets, while TerraSana is mainly found in organic food shops. Two different routes, but one shared ambition: making healthy, organic food accessible to more and more people.
One point raised by the jury was the accessibility of our products. Organic products can sometimes come with a higher price. Behind that price are conscious choices: organic ingredients, careful production methods and strict requirements for composition and quality. We want to show why those choices are worth it and keep inspiring people to eat more consciously.
Because in the end, we need each other to make healthy food more accessible. Every producer, retailer and consumer contributes in their own way.
So perhaps organic was the biggest winner of the day!
The top 10 was determined by the jury’s assessment (60%) and more than 7,300 consumer votes (40%).
Great to be among so many different initiatives working together towards a healthier food system!

This is already our fourth award in a short space of time! In September, our Sweet Salted Vanilla Date almond butter was named Best Product Launch of 2026 by Udea.
And at Natexpo in France, our instant noodles with miso and shiitake won two awards, the public choice award and a special international distinction.
Four awards in just a few months. A great recognition of the choices we make, and above all, motivation to keep doing what we believe in: making organic food delicious, exciting and accessible to more and more people.
Thank you to everyone who voted for us and to all our colleagues and partners who contribute every day!
